Buying a new home can be very daunting and challenging. I will help take the stress out of the process through my experience, detailed focus and expert negotiation skills. I bring a very unique skill set to my realtor role having been relocated around B.C. nine times in my first career having to move my family and start fresh in a new community each time.

As a life-long learner, I am always looking for ways to grow on a personal and professional level. Early in my career, to ensure I had the proper education and accreditation to provide sound financial advice to my clients, I completed two financial planning designations: the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) which is a financial services industry wide designation and Personal Financial Planner (PFP) which is more specialized for advice in the banking sector. I also achieved a Fellowship of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.
A career in leadership was something I aspired to within the Bank. I completed a Masters of Business Administration through Dalhousie University to ensure I was well prepared in all disciplines of business to take on senior leadership roles both in the Lower Mainland and upon relocating to Kelowna, Regional Vice President Okanagan for 12 years.
Working in the financial services industry with RBC Royal Bank for over 30 years prepared me well for a career in Real Estate. I spent my early years helping first time home buyers figure out how to buy their starter home. As an experienced lender, I worked with many clients as they navigated buying and selling as their families grew; relocating; as they downsized or finding a new vacation property. In my later years as an business leader and executive, my role was one that required expert negotiation skills, communication ability, critical thinking, developing strategy and building trusted relationships.
My expertise lies in sales, marketing, negotiation and strategic thinking. Transferring these skills to real estate means I can help my clients buy and sell their properties faster, relocate with confidence and negotiate on their behalf to secure the best deal.
Giving back to the communities that we live and work in has always been a personal goal. I have lead or participated in many activities in my time in Kelowna to raise funds for such worthy causes as Kelowna General Hospital Association, Canadian Mental Health Association, the United Way, the Boys & Girls Club and the Food Bank.
Currently, I’m an active volunteer with the KGH Hospital Foundation where I have spent over 8 years serving on the board as a director; holding several board positions including Vice Chair and ultimately Chair of the Board. I was very proud to Chair a major capital campaign, “Take Care, Take Part” which raised $7.5 million for hospital equipment for the Centennial Tower. I continue to support this worthy cause with events in my role as Past Chair on a regular basis.
